of Sins & Sinners, Satans & Devils
Once, again, I have managed to take another e-mail totally out of context and will rant and rave about it. After my mail on the UN building bombing in Baghdad, I received a note talking about the battle between good and evil. Perhaps for those of us who have been brought up Muslim, Christian and Jew, the struggle between these two indomitable opposite ends have been ingrained in our very being. Of Good and Evil, Heaven and Hell, Angels and Satan. Of Sins and Sinners.
An eternity of indoctrination has meant that for some of us at least, it has required little if any effort to transpose this concept to more mortal beings.
They are now Great Satans in Gucci suits and Armani shoes, and in flack jackets and night-vision goggles. In what is most probably one of the saddest tragedies in this world, we now have evil walking among us. And what can be greater in the eyes of the Almighty, than to fight this evil.
To marshal the forces of Good and with battle cries and banners screaming the name of God, wage war on these hideous, sinister people and drive them from the face of this earth.
There is only one God. There is only one Truth. And now, as it has been countless of times in the past, the people of the Book are again waging war, and raining suffering and death on God's own enemies.
